Student Information & Policies

Welcome to a mimicafe Union Workshop!
Thank you for joining my workshop!
My goal is to create a fun, welcoming, and inspiring environment where everyone can learn, create, and enjoy the experience together. Every workshop is designed to be hands-on, interactive, and suitable for a variety of skill levels. Let’s create something wonderful together!
Who can join? [skill level]
My workshops feature professional figure sculpting techniques, and some classes include Master Class–level instruction. However, all skill levels are welcome, from beginners to experienced artists.
Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of teaching students with a wide range of experience—from complete beginners to professional cake artists. Every student learns at their own pace, and my goal is to create a supportive and enjoyable learning environment where everyone can succeed.
To help you achieve the best possible result, I may occasionally demonstrate directly on your piece or make small corrections or refinements when needed. This hands-on guidance is part of my teaching style and is intended to help you learn new techniques while creating a piece you can be proud of.

During the Workshop
Everyone works at a different pace.
Because of the amount of detail involved, some students may complete more than others during class.
The workshop focuses on helping you understand techniques and build confidence, rather than finishing every tiny detail.
Health & Safety
Your safety is important to me. Please use all tools carefully and follow the instructor’s guidance throughout the workshop. A craft knife is one of the sharpest tools used during class. Please handle it with care and keep it safely stored when not in use. Minor accidents, such as small cuts, can occasionally happen when using sharp tools. A basic first aid kit will be available during the workshop. Please use all tools carefully and responsibly.
If you are feeling unwell, tired, or need a break at any time, please let me know. Feel free to take a short break, stretch, have a snack, or get some fresh air before continuing. Your well-being is always more important than rushing to finish your project.
Photography & Social media
Photos and short videos are welcome for personal use. Please be respectful of other participants during the workshop. I also love sharing workshop moments and students’ beautiful creations on my social media. If you would prefer not to be photographed or have your work featured, please let me know at any time during the workshop. I’ll be happy to accommodate your request.
Finished Pieces & Transportation
We will provide a take-home box for your finished piece. Since sugar figures can be delicate, we encourage you to bring bubble wrap or other protective packing materials if possible to help ensure a safe trip home.
Please note that mimicafe Union cannot be responsible for damage that occurs after the workshop.
Respect for Others
Let’s create a positive and supportive learning environment.
Please be kind, respectful, and encouraging to everyone in the workshop.
Questions?
If you have any questions before your workshop, please feel free to contact me.
I look forward to creating with you!
